Electronic statements were introduced because:
- frequent postal strikes have led to delays in receiving statements and subsequent frustration from account holders
- it is an effective, efficient and environmentally friendly system
- statements can be delivered to all areas
- it is aligned with the technology driven future where almost all residents have either access to email facility or a mobile telephone; and
- it is cost effective, which means we will be saving tax payers’ money

Accounts will be updated by approximately the 25th of each month

Pensioners
Notice from Midvaal
Rebates for pensioners: We have heard the comments received from our community on the plight of the pensioners and in response, we will increase the income threshold from the current R4 500 monthly household income to R7 500 monthly household income to qualify for a 50% reduction on property rates. Our pensioners are encouraged to visit our municipal offices to submit their applications to benefit from the rebates.
